PADI Specialties

PADI Specialties — Speciality Instructor Training Courses with award-winning DSAT TecRec Course Director Dan Robinson

OK, so you know you want to take Instructor Training Courses with me for your PADI Specialties, as this way.

  • I will give you a role-model demo. of how to teach your course.
  • You may start to teach your PADI Specialties now and not have to wait until you have 25 student certs. first, which you must do if you want to apply direct to PADI.
  • You will pay less to PADI  (AUD 77 in 2013) than if you apply direct (AUD 105 or AUD 209).
  • You only need 10 dives of the type you want to teach, not 20, which you must have if you apply direct.

So, for which PADI Specialties can I take Instructor Training Courses with you?

  1. Altitude Diver.
  2. A.W.A.R.E. Fish ID.
  3. A.W.A.R.E. Shark Conservation.  As a distinctive, in 2013 you would pay AUD 209 if you apply direct to PADI, way more than the AUD 77 if you take a course with me.
  4. Boat.
  5. Cavern.  To apply for Cavern Instructor, you need a full cave diver cert. first.
  6. Deep.  Instructors may train Advanced students to a max. depth of 30m.  Deep Instructors may train Deep students to a max. depth of 40m.
  7. Digital Underwater Photography.
  8. Drift.
  9. Dry Suit.
  10. Enriched Air.  This is a recreational course, but is also needed to move on to technical diving.  NitrOx is the best-selling of all the PADI Specialities.  At shallower depths, your divers may have longer bottom times.
  11. Emergency Oxygen.  By taking the Instructor course with me, you do not need the Provider level, which you must have if you wish to apply direct to PADI.
  12. Equipment.  If you take the Instructor course with me, you do not need to apply to a manufacturer to go on one of their repair clinics or get a letter from them, which you must if you apply direct to PADI.  Spaces on clinics are kept for dive centre staff and letters are not given out freely.
  13. Ice.
  14. Multilevel & Computer.
  15. Night.
  16. Recompression Chamber Awareness.
  17. Search & Recovery.
  18. Sea Turtle Awareness.
  19. Self-Reliant Diver (solo diver).  This course is great as an intro. to tec or for pros. or photographers/videographers.
  20. Semiclosed Rebreather (Dolphin/Atlantis).  Instructors must also have a diver card.
  21. Recreational Sidemount.  After a course with me, you do not need a student card, which you must have if you apply direct to PADI.
  22. Surface Marker Buoy.  In 2013 you will save AUD 132 if you do one of my courses and not apply direct to PADI.
  23. Technical Advanced Wreck.
  24. Tec Sidemount.  Instructors must have the diver card and must also be tec instructors.
  25. Thresher Shark.
  26. Underwater Naturalist.
  27. Underwater Navigator.
  28. Underwater Videographer.
  29. Whale Shark Awareness.
  30. Wreck.
